A Statement of Why Things Can Take Time
Unlike some competitors, we are not, and never have been a part-time operation. We work from a professional facility in Hauppauge, NY. At that location, we are fully equipped with an optical coating laboratory and state of the art instrumentation for producing and analyzing our prisms, coatings and optical lenses! My job is to design systems, do tech support and sales, and to oversee the Denkmeier Operation. As the person in charge, I personally collimate and check each and every Standard and Denk II Binoviewer. I also test each OCS optical lens for optical quality and performance. My staff and I, carefully work on every order that comes in individually, and at times, there will be some delay in delivery. This is because we choose to put the time and care into our Binoviewer Systems, necessary to ensure top quality throughout. Also, a coating run may be in the cue and various machined parts may be in process of being made. They then go through a rigourous quality control process.
Other binoviewer clones or versions may be available in the marketplace, but there is only one Denkmeier Optical! Check the spelling and do not be misled by start-up part-time competitors. I must clearly state the following because I am asked frequently: I am the inventor of the Power switch and OCS Systems, not just a co-patent holder. I know what is required in order to ensure complete optical quality of the entire system and this cannot be rushed, nor can it be accomplished in a part-time capacity.
Yes, our systems may be more expensive than the competitor's clones, but there is a reason. Just as telescopes such as refractors can have drastically different price ranges, our binoviewers utilize top quality optics and coatings, and this is only one of the differences that may not be readily apparant to customers who lack inside information about the nuts and bolts of the industry. Producing and assembling systems for our Top Shelf Products requires more time than that in distributing mass-produced items of lower quality. We ask you to consider this, especially when you are about to decide on what to purchase, and from whom. Our systems are designed to last a lifetime! You are likely here, because you want to explore the option of owning the best, not an imitation.

Be assured that ordering through a dealer will not slow down the process. We cannot compromise quality just to rush product out, and we will not hire other companies to assemble our products. Collimation, coating, and assembly must meet our quality control standards and these requirements are very demanding and time consuming. Quite honestly, we believe that our customers are ordering our products because they want the very best. Sometimes the obtaining the very best requires a little extra patience on the part of the consumer. We always exersize concern when it comes to timely delivery, but quality cannot not be rushed. Please understand that dealers are not always in the loop about what the availability of our product line is during a particular week. This will vary and sometimes, there can be several weeks, or even longer delays. Why does this happen? The fact is that demand fluctuates and at times, we can assemble and ship within days of receiving the order from a dealer or directly from you. At other times, it may be longer because we were very busy the prior weeks or month. It is hard to predict this and we ask for you patience.
